@nplcares – a loving community, enabling more people to engage with sustainable fashion

@nplcares – a loving community, enabling more people to engage with sustainable fashion - notPERFECTLINEN EU
Communities are what brings us together – whether in real life or online. We truly adore our Instagram community at @notperfectlinen – a large crowd of like-minded individuals from all over the world, leading an eco-friendly lifestyle, caring about the environment and valuing sustainable fashion. Not Perfect Linen stands for equality to all – we always look for new ways to help others. Having such a rewarding success with our primary community @notperfectlinen, we have launched a new account @nplcares, hoping to serve less privileged people by enabling them to have an ability to engage with sustainable fashion and our brand. We feel that this could be another way to give back and provide equal opportunities to ones who are not in a position today to purchase our clothes at full price.

This growing online community acts as a ground base for anyone interested in sustainable fashion yet struggling a bit in the financial field. It allows more people to explore our brand and, hopefully, sends a sincere and kind message to the world. We believe it’s a small step for a business to make, which can potentially become an excellent example to others, making the world a bit better place each day.

The main idea of @nplcares account is to post and sell Not Perfect Linen collection items with a 50% discount off the regular price – equally as beautiful as the ones sold on our main account, but twice less expensive and twice more affordable. This practice enables more people to enjoy sustainable fashion and generates us even more happiness. We base our activity on this platform on the contest principle. The rule is simple: anyone who desires to get the posted item states “would like to” in the comments, and we randomly select the lucky buyer for the half-priced item. This way, we can be as fair as possible in choosing the person who gets to purchase the discounted item.

No one could argue that sustainable fashion items are much more challenging to make than fast fashion ones. The sustainable clothing manufacturing process is based on fair engagement among all parties in all production stages and high-quality natural materials used, which results in precisely made exceptional quality products. We clearly understand that the world is not yet equal in terms of pay rates and financial situations. Sustainability is a choice that someone makes; however, it is a much easier decision for more privileged ones. Even though sustainable fashion items serve longer than regular ones, they require a larger initial budget and still are not vastly affordable to everyone. We hope to make it a bit easier to be sustainable even in the state of less privilege.
